3DGS as a service
Turn your car video into a 3D Gaussian Splat
Film one lap around a car with your phone. We run a splatting pipeline built for cars and send back a .ply you can open in SuperSplat, PlayCanvas or Unreal.
Early pilot. CarTwin is still fully in development.

What it is
Visual 3D copies of cars, from a single phone video.
CarTwin is a Gaussian splatting pipeline optimised specifically for cars. You upload one video, we handle frame selection, camera reconstruction and 3DGS training, and you get a splat you can view in the browser and download as a .ply.
Record
One slow lap, phone in landscape, whole car in frame

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Gaussian splatting?
Gaussian splatting (3DGS) represents a scene as millions of small, coloured, semi-transparent ellipsoids. It is trained from photos or video frames and renders in real time, with more realistic detail than a classic mesh.
Which file do I get?
A .ply file with the trained Gaussian splats. You can open it in SuperSplat, PlayCanvas, Unreal (with a 3DGS plugin) and other splat viewers. You can also view it in the browser and share a link.
How long does it take?
Usually about an hour, sometimes a little longer. We email you when it is ready.
Which cars work well?
Cars with a matt or lightly reflective finish give the best results. Very shiny, chrome or dark paint is harder, because reflections change with every viewing angle.
Can I use it commercially?
Yes, you can use the model you receive. The exact terms are in our terms and conditions.
What if it fails?
Something went wrong with this scan. Your credit has been returned. If a scan fails on our side, you get the credit back automatically.
How long do you keep my files?
How long we keep videos and models is described in our privacy statement.
